PRAYER WITH AUTHORITY – CASTING OUT DEMONS

  1. Matthew 9:35:  Jesus went from village to village and city to city doing good, preaching the Good News of the Kingdom, healing every sickness and disease among the people.
  • Acts 10:38-39:  You know how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil, for God was with Him. We are witnesses, says Peter.
  • Matthew 10:1:  Jesus called His twelve disciples and gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast out demons, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.
  • Matthew 10:7-8: As you go, heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils; freely you have received, freely give.
  • Luke 10:19: Jesus said I have given you power to trample over scorpions and serpents – nothing can harm you.
  • Mark 16:17-20: Here are the signs that accompany those who believe; in My name they will cast out devils, they shall speak in new tongues, they shall take up serpents; and if they drink a poisoned liquid, it will not harm them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they will be healed. They went forth, preached everywhere; and the Lord worked with them and confirmed the Word with signs that followed them.
  • Colossians 2:12-15:  Jesus canceled the condemnation against us, nailed it to the cross, spoiled the principalities, ridiculed them and triumphed over them by the cross.
  • Ephesians 6:10-18:  The weapons we fight with are Truth, Righteousness, readiness of the Gospel, the assurance of salvation, the faith, the Word of God and prayer.
  • 2 Corinthians 10:3-6: The weapons we fight with have divine power. We demolish the imaginations of Satan, his pretensions that set themselves against the knowledge of God, and we bring captive all our thoughts to obey Christ. And we are ready to punish those who are disobedient when their obedience is complete.
  1. John 8:32-36: We will know the truth, and the truth will make us free. If the Son of God makes us free, we are free indeed.
  1. James 4:7:  Submit yourselves to God, resist the Devil, and he will flee from you.
  1. 1 John 3:8: Jesus has appeared to destroy the works of the Devil.
  1. 1 John 4:4: We have defeated Satan, because Jesus who is in us is greater than the one who is in the world.

                                  CONCLUSION

Psalm 65:2:  God hears prayers. We ought to come to the father to seek support, refuge and solutions. Prayer: Father God, in the name of Jesus Christ my Lord, I declare true your word that says, I submit first to you, I resist the Devil, and he flees from me your servant. Thank you for promising that if I make known to you my afflictions and problems with prayer, supplications and thanksgiving you are ready to give me peace that transcends all understanding. I welcome your peace.
